“I Love Attawapiskat” is a national campaign that is rapidly growing into a global movement — it is a well known fact that indigenous peoples around the world suffer high rates of suicide.
2017 is marketed to be “Canada 150” however I fully support Algoma University Students’ Union choice not to participate Canada150
Indigenous people & their traditions = treasured crux of Canada
It is important Attawapiskat youth and all indigenous people of Canada know we care and that they always have someone to talk to. I hope young people in Attawapiskat will be inspired to seek out their God-given gifts to share with the rest of the world.
To those reading from Attawapiskat:
it is possible to realize your grandest dreams in reality.
You can do anything you believe in.
Reach out (@TheresaLongo) anytime through Twitter or in the contact for ideas, consultation, support, or career help.
The small community of Attawapiskat has declared a state of emergency after a very high number of youth suicides within the community of about 2000 people.
Here is my special message for the Youth of Attawapiskat
“Anything is possible in this life; please believe in it – I promise. Let’s Talk.”
